{"id":229,"date":"2011-12-15T13:21:11","date_gmt":"2011-12-15T12:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tim.linux-daus.de\/wp-neu\/?p=229"},"modified":"2018-05-18T07:32:43","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T06:32:43","slug":"fox-glacier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/tim.linux-daus.de\/?p=229","title":{"rendered":"Fox Glacier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Auf dem Weg zur S\u00fcdspitze Neuseelands kommt man zwangsweise am Westland National Park vorbei und damit auch am Franz Josef Gletscher und Fox Gletscher. Das touristische Angebot ist bei beiden nahezu identisch. Vom Halb-Tages Trip \u00fcbers Eisklettern bis hin zu Helihikes. Da leider das Eisklettern schon ausgebucht war, habe ich mich ebenfalls f\u00fcr den Fullday Walk durch den Anfangsbereich des Gletschers entschieden. Mit einer kleinen Gruppe von 9 Leuten, wir hatten Gl\u00fcck gehabt, dass es nicht voll ausgebucht war, ging es mit dem Bus zum Fu\u00df des Gletschers. Vom Car Park aus mussten wir ca. 1 Stunde an der Seite des Gletschers den Berg hoch gehen um dann seitlich in ihn hinein zu gehen. Hin und wieder musste unser Guide, mal ehre etwas Show dann auch mal eher notwendigerweise, Stufen ins Eis hauen oder anderweitig das Eis f\u00fcr uns sicher machen. Da es leider ein sehr bew\u00f6lkter Tag gewesen ist war unsere Aussicht zwar getr\u00fcbt, dennoch sch\u00f6n. Insgesamt sind wir gute 6 Stunden im Eis gewesen und konnten einen ersten Eindruck gewinnen wie es wohl weiter oben aussehen muss.
